For the healing of the holistic self (mind, body and spirit), I believe in marrying the power of spiritual connection with deep transformational healing for the awakening of one’s true self. It is for this reason that in addition to my mediumship, I have trained in psychospiritual coaching practices based in the Internal Family Systems model of therapy, taught by Guthrie Sayen at The Graduate Institute of Bethany, CT.
Coaching is a collaborative, co-creative, non-pathologizing, and client led form of personal and professional counseling. Guided by transpersonal psychology and psychospiritual models of healing, I work with the belief that you are naturally whole, intuitively connected, creative and resourceful, already having within you what you need towards healing and leading a fulfilling life.
What is Psychospiritual? – Psychospiritual is an umbrella term for spiritual psychotherapy and pertains to the relationship between the soul and the mind. It goes beyond traditional therapy and acknowledges the importance of our spiritual health, as well as our mental or behavioral health. It addresses the whole or holistic health of a person: body, mind, and spirit.
What is Transpersonal Psychology? – Transpersonal Psychology or TP, is a sub school of psychology with the goal of enhancing the study of mind-body relations, consciousness, and spirituality. Founded in the early works of Carl Jung, William James, and Abraham Maslow, it integrates the spiritual and transcendent aspects of the human experience with the framework of modern psychology. It is also known as “spiritual psychology”.
What is Internal Family Systems? – Internal Family Systems model or IFS, was created by Richard Schwartz and applies family systems concepts to the intrapsychic realm (internal psyche). The IFS model proposes that individuals’ subpersonalities interact and change in many of the same ways as do families and other human groups. It addresses the many parts of ourselves and the importance of creating harmony among them, much like an internal family that is within us. It is also an incredibly efficient and powerful method in accessing and making space for one’s core or authentic Self to come forth and be centered in the system. It is also commonly known as “Parts Work”. To learn more, visit here.
Coaching v.s Therapy? – Coaching methodology believes in the inherent good, and wholeness of a client, and looks to help clear the way for a client to access the full healing capacity and inner expertise already within them. Traditional therapy, ie psychotherapy or counseling, typically works to find symptoms, diagnose or pathologize. It believes that a client is not inherently whole, and therefore damaged, impaired and deficient in one way or another. It functions through the belief that issues are to be fixed by an external source/expert in order for one to be made whole or complete. In contrast, coaching is an “inside -> out” approach, whereas therapy is an “outside -> in” approach. Additionally, coaching is not focused solely on healing past issues, but in looking onto manifesting one’s fullest potential in both the present, and future. Furthermore, coaching generally works to help someone move from “functioning” to “thriving”. While IFS, or parts work coaching is deeply transformational and can heal past issues, it is not recommended in resolving early developmental traumas that result in inhibiting one’s day-to-day functioning. For healing work focused on early behavioral or mental developmental health, therapy is the recommended course.
In psychospiritual coaching work, I hold space for you in love and support as we co-create access to your innate healing capacity, resulting in the unearthing and realization of your fullest potential in all aspects of life. We work together to unveil your whole, authentic and highest self. We then connect to the inherent knowledge within it and bring forth optimal healing, deep self love, the ability to thrive, personal transformation, spiritual awakening and prosperity.
I support you in awaking the whole self, towards deep healing, transforming patterns, transcending fear, overcoming obstacles, actualizing your highest potential, finding creative and emotional flow, envisioning the future and in setting and achieving meaningful goals.
Coaching is done over video chat and available from any distance. You will begin with a free consultation to discuss your needs and goals and how this work might help.
